What is Robotics Camp?
July 15-19, 2024: Elementary students grade 4-6 from WSD can come and learn about robotics and programming. We will start the camp with some basic programming using block code. Next students will get to build their own robot. The kit I will provide has 14 different robot designs. Students can build multiple designs with their kit and decide which one they like best. On the last day, we will race the robots outside. Students can participate in this mini competition. At the end of the week, they may take their robot home.
August 5-9, 2024: Junior High and High School aged students who want to compete in Vex Robotics with the Fremont High Robotics club can come to our ‘Summer Robotics Kickoff’. This is going to guide them into the 24-25 season. At this camp students will design, build, and program a drive train and base for their robots. They will keep documentation of the engineering process and their work. They may also begin brainstorming their robots' overall design and functionality. https://www.vexrobotics.com/
