All About Me

Hello everyone! I am Mr. Gathercole and I am excited to be here at Weber High teaching Physics. This is the best job in the world! The Physics curriculum and the most hands on, or engaging, of the sciences. At least that's my opinion.

I have been teaching Physics and 8th Grade Science at Sand Ridge Jr. High for the last 6 years. There I was involved with the MESA Club and coaching a few different sports such as baseball, softball, and girl's basketball.

I grew up locally and attended schools within Weber School District. After I attended Weber State University and obtained a teaching degree in Physical Science which includes endorsements in the Physics, Chemistry, and some aspects of Earth Science. I am also endorsed to teach science in 6th through 8th grades. I also completed my Master's Degree from Western Governors University.

When I am not in school, I enjoy spending time with my family. My wife, BriAnne, and I have three children. We are definitely an outdoor family and we like spend our time outdoors camping, hiking, hunting & fishing, and anything to do on the lake. It is safe to say we enjoy being outside as much as possible.
