Provide an on-site training center for high school students in the Child Development and Early Childhood Classes at Weber High School.
Provide nurturing, quality child care, developmentally appropriate learning experiences in a safe and secure environment for preschoolers.
Through the Wee Warriors Preschool, Weber High provides an opportunity for high school students to be trained as preschool teachers in a preschool setting. Early Childhood Education 1, 2, & 3 students will have ample experience in observing and seeing first-hand the developmental stages and levels of small children. Early Childhood Education students will assist with and have hands-on experience in teaching children, under the direction of the Early Childhood Teacher and Early Childhood Lab Facilitator. High school students will develop lesson plans in math, art, science, music, and language. These lesson plans will be coordinated with the weekly and monthly preschool themes.
