Mrs. Inglefield was able to get her paws on some complimentary tickets for this SOLD OUT show at the Dee Events Center during WSD's Spring Break. All 5,000 of us got to hear a living legend talk about SCIENCE, of course, but Bill Nye also spoke about finding and using facts and evidence in our ever-changing and sometimes vexingly complex world. This commitment to close reading and diligent research, seeking evidence, and using that evidence to great purpose is a major thrust of our district's ELA and larger mission. This event is a marriage of school and fun that I never thought we'd be able to offer NJHS members (and some lucky siblings and friends and teachers). I am so grateful for those students who made time to attend this event; those who are away, life is full of next times, for sure; I've found that to be the case in my 48.5 years; most certainly, that is anecdotal evidence... but... we're going with it! :) MI
