Offered Services for Military-Connected Students and Their Families
Student Support
Welcome and Transition Assistance – Help for students adjusting to a new school after a PCS move or nonmilitary related relocation
Deployment Check-ins – Regular emotional and academic support during a parent’s deployment or training absence
Peer/Mentor Connection Opportunities – Pairing students with others who understand military life through programs like Student 2 Student, Military Student Groups, Adopt a Squadron and more
Academic Support and Monitoring – Check-ins to ensure students stay on track and feel supported in the classroom
IEP/504 Collaboration – Assistance working with school staff to address learning needs or accommodations
Advocacy and Mentorship – Guidance for students navigating challenges related to frequent moves, school transitions, and lack of community
Participation in Student Programs – Access to military student groups, recognition events, and leadership opportunities
Family Support
One-on-One Parent Support – Help navigating school systems, programs, and available district resources
Advocacy at School Meetings – Attend IEP, 504, or problem-solving meetings as a supportive resource for parents
Connection to Base and Community Resources – Link families with base services, community programs, and family readiness resources
Family Nights and Events – Invitations to district and community gatherings designed to strengthen family connections
Information and Referrals – Direct connection to school based counseling, food assistance, or crisis support services when needed
Transition Guidance – Support before, during, and after PCS or deployment to ensure stability for the student
Additional Support
Safe Space for Students and Parents – Someone to talk to who understands military life and the various challenges that come with military service. When you don't know where to go, who to talk to, or even what it is that you are looking for. We will walk alongside you and provide any support that we can.
