Puppet Book Report Description

Each student will be required to read a fiction book over 100 pages long.  Students will then make 1 puppet representing a main character in the book.  They will then present their book report in class by having the character (puppet) tell about the story using first-person narrative.  The presentation should last between 1 and 3 minutes.  Students should practice at home many times so they feel comfortable presenting it in the classroom and to stay within the time limit.  The students must also write a summary to turn in after they perform their puppet show (this is the same paper they use for their presentation).  Please refer to the grading rubric below to know how their grade will be determined.
