About Mrs. Geyer

Mrs. Shannon Geyer

I am so excited to meet you all, and I am stoked to be a part of you all growing and changing this year!

I am married to another teacher. Mr. Geyer teaches Social Studies at Lake Forest High School. I also have two dogs, Macy & Kona, and two sons, Andy and Wyatt.
I went to Wesley college, where I received my Bachelor's Degree in US and World History and my Master's Degree in Teaching.
I love going on adventures, from a small road trips to flying across the globe. Travel is a huge part of my life, and I have been able to visit six countries (not including the U.S. 😁).
I am an avid reader, and I prefer fiction like Harry Potter or Percy Jackson. I do read some non-fiction as well. My favorite informational non-fiction books are from the A Very Short Introduction series from Oxford University Press. I like them because they're short, so I don't get distracted too quickly.
I have a bucket list, including traveling to all 50 states- I have currently visited 15. There are a few states that are pretty close I have not been to, like West Virginia and Ohio.
