Elizabeth Darowish, Soprano, is a general music teacher and chorus director to students all over Pennsylvania with Reach Charter Cyber School. She earned a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education and Vocal Performance, Magna Cum Laude from Mansfield University in Mansfield, Pennsylvania in 2004, and earned a Master of Art degree in Music Education from Boston University in Boston, Mass in 2008. She has performed as an alumnae soprano soloist with Mansfield University's Festival chorus in three major works, Handel's Messiah, Faure's Requiem and Mozart's Requiem and Handel’s Ode to St. Cecilia’s Day under the direction of Dr. Peggy Dettwiler.
She studied choral conducting with Dr. Peggy Dettwiler and studied voice with Jean-Anne Teal at Mansfield University. She has been a guest conductor at county festivals in Tioga County, PA, Dauphin County, PA, as well as Orange County, NY. Recently, Beth became a published choral music composer with her piece Eclipse, available on www.jenwagnermusic.com. Beth performs in the Harrisburg area as a soprano soloist, in the pit orchestras (violin and viola) and on the stage, most recently with Theatre Harrisburg in Into the Woods. She teaches a studio of voice students, and music directs musicals in local theaters and schools.
A teacher of vocal music for over 20 years, Beth is passionate to develop the musical gifts of her students. She lives with her husband, David, eleven-year-old daughter, Ellie, seven year- old daughter, Alice and four-year-old son, Theo in Harrisburg.
