Parent/Legal Guardian Audition Contract

PARENTS:

In order for your child to participate in the school’s production, it not only a big commitment for your child, but it is also a commitment for you. The AHS Drama Club cannot put on a great performance without the continued support, spirit of volunteerism and commitment from you, the parent/legal guardian.

To discuss the production process, and parent volunteer opportunities, we will have MANDATORY PARENT MEETING on:

Thursday, September 20 at 6:00 PM.

PARENTS AND STUDENTS:

By signing below you agree to uphold your academic achievements as well as make a commitment to attending, and being on time to, all rehearsals.

If you miss 2 or more rehearsals unexcused, and/or 3 or more rehearsals excused, or are consistently late, you may be removed from the cast, or moved to a different role. Please see AHS Drama Department Code of Conduct for further details.

CASTING POLICY

Under no circumstances does the Analy High School Drama Department precast any productions. It is my philosophy that every student, whether they are new to the program or a seasoned veteran, has a place in the AHS drama program.

Students are cast or placed based on their audition, timeliness, ability to work well with others, and to take direction. Casting and placement decisions are not determined by what a student has done for the AHS drama program in the past, or by a student’s grade level. Casting and placement decisions are also not determined by what a student has done for any other arts education/community theatre organizations in the past.

All students auditioning must be willing to accept any role that is assigned by the director. Signing below indicates you will accept any role assigned, and will not drop out of the production, or otherwise negatively impact the ensemble based on your casting. (All casting decisions are final, and requests for a change in casting is inappropriate, and harmful to the production process.)
