Wonder Workshop has some wonderful little bots called Dot and Dash that definitely make coding fun! The WRVSU has some of these bots available for people to use with classrooms by request! Recently, they were in use in RSUD at the Stockbridge Campus! Unfortunately, I didn't make it to any of their classes to see the wonder, but I hear that the students had a blast!
There are several apps that can be used in conjunction with the robots and much can be done using a Chromebook too (thank you, Wonder Workshop for getting with the times...) with this LINK. Dot and Dash connect to devices via bluetooth and can be controlled through the web or apps! Students can use their Chromebooks to do preset puzzles or create their own projects! Projects can also be shared so teachers or students could create their own puzzles! Sounds fun, right!
It gets better too! Not only does WRVSU have 6 Dashs and 8 Dots, but we have a bunch of fun accessories and puzzles for them too!
More coming soon on the wonders (haha) of Dot and Dash!
