Open Educational Resources (OER) are teaching materials that are offered either physically or online for free use by teachers. These resources, much like Pomp and Circumstance or Happy Birthday to You, are a part of the public domain or were published with an open license and are available for people to use for free. Some of these resources are even customizable so they can be modified to better fit in with your lessons.
At WRVSU, we use many paid resources but that doesn't mean that there aren't free resources that we can use in the classroom. We at WRVSU want to be sure that teachers are aware of all possible resources so we have dedicated this site to sharing OER with everyone. Not all of these resources will speak to you but the goal is that you may find something here that you think would help in the classroom.
This site has been broken down into 4 main sections: Primary Grades (K-2), Elementary Grades (3-5), Middle Grades (6-8), and Secondary Grades (9-12). The resources here will include brief descriptions and have been considered carefully before sharing them. If you feel that any resource is lacking, or want to share a resource, feel free to reach out to me and let me know.
