ALEKS is an online learning platform developed through 25 years of research, offering courses in Math, Chemistry, Statistics, and other subjects. It uses data-driven insights to help educators and parents gain a deep understanding of each student’s knowledge and learning progress, providing personalized support to help students reach mastery. By delivering tailored support, ALEKS enables students to work at their own pace and develop mastery in each subject area 

At the beginning of each school year, students will complete an Initial Knowledge Check. After students complete the initial Knowledge Check in ALEKS, the program uses their results to create a personalized learning path. This path shows what the student already knows and what they’re ready to learn next. ALEKS then presents topics that are appropriate for the student’s current skill level, allowing them to work on areas where they need improvement. As students make progress, ALEKS periodically gives additional Knowledge Checks to ensure they’re retaining what they've learned and to adjust their learning path as needed. This ongoing process helps students build strong, lasting understanding at their own pace. To support consistent growth, middle school students throughout the district will be asked to complete 5–10 topics each week during school and as homework.
