I initially started my career in the education departments of museums and performing arts centers in Baltimore, MD and Newark, NJ. I left this field as I wanted to work more directly with children and returned to school to get my Masters degree in Early Childhood Education. I began my teaching career in Shrewsbury, MA. Since 2006 I have been teaching kindergarten and first grade at Houghton Elementary School. I am truly blessed to have a job that I love and continue to try to improve my teaching with every passing year!
My Bachelor of Arts degree is in Museum Studies and Art from McDaniel College and I have a Masters of Science in Early Childhood Education from Wheelock College.
I live in Sterling with my husband Dan, my son Alec, and my silly cats Auggie and Jack!
