I hope you had a wonderful summer and are ready for an awesome year as we learn and grow together! I am excited to be your child's teacher this year and to share the magical experience of learning together. Please remember to periodically check the district's website for school-related information and updates from our teacher and first-grade web pages. As the year progresses, I will continue to alter and add curriculum information, important dates, reminders and to keep you informed. 

Some Helpful Notes:

First graders should arrive at school between 8:45 and 9:00 each day. This allows for time to organize their backpacks, outerwear, folders and to prepare for the day. Our academic day begins promptly at 9:00. 

Just a friendly reminder that your child will need to bring to school each day a backpack with his/her name labeled inside, a labeled lunch box/bag, and one snack and drink (preferably a water bottle) for our morning break to keep our tummies happy and content until lunchtime.  This year our lunch is free of charge, however, if your child brings a lunch and chooses to buy milk, they will need to pay $0.60.

Most importantly, if there are any changes in your child's regular dismissal procedure, please send a  written note and e-mail in the morning to ensure a smooth departure with happy faces! Thank you, again, for all you do at home to help make this a successful and enriching year for learning. I look forward to meeting you at our first grade Curriculum Night!
