Dual Enrollment & Early College at Wachusett Regional High School
Dual Enrollment & Early College at Wachusett Regional High School
Dual Enrollment at WRHS allows students to take college-level courses while still in high school, earning both high school and college credits simultaneously. These courses are taught by WRHS instructors who are also adjunct professors at Anna Maria College. This program gives students a head start on their postsecondary education.
Early College at WRHS is a structured program that offers all students, including those from diverse backgrounds, the opportunity to access college courses and earn credits toward a college degree, often at no cost to the student, without affecting their high school GPA or standing. We offer programs with AMC, WSU, MWCC, and QCC.
The purpose of the Early College Initiative is to create and maintain partnerships that connect our state’s districts and high schools with its colleges, providing thousands of Massachusetts students, especially first-generation college students, with access to college completion and career success.
The Massachusetts Commonwealth Dual Enrollment Partnership (CDEP) offers opportunities for Massachusetts high school students to take college-level courses at no cost or a reduced rate, earning credit toward both high school completion and future college degrees.

Dear Students, Parents & Guardians,
We are thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity for our students at Wachusett Regional High School (WRHS)! In collaboration with Anna Maria College, Wachusett will be offering a series of no-cost Early College and Dual Enrollment courses. Below you will find a brief description of each opportunity, how to apply, and where to get your questions answered.
Early College Courses:
Early College courses are an incredible opportunity for students to earn college credit while still in high school. These courses will be held in a variety of formats from various colleges and will consist of four engaging subjects. Please note that Early College courses exclusively offer college credit. High School credit will not be awarded for these Early College courses.
Dual Enrollment 2025-2026:
In addition to Early College, Wachusett is also launching a Dual Enrollment program. We will be offering the following courses Anatomy & Physiology I & II, Criminal Justice I & II, Economics I & II, Human Growth and Development, and Mental Health; allowing students the opportunity to earn both high school and college credit simultaneously. Dual Enrollment allows students to experience the rigor of college-level coursework at Wachusett, while still receiving support from our high school environment.
