Students will login to Clever.com with school issued email/password. Click on the Music folder. Click on the Google Meet icon. ------------> Meeting links will not be active until 3 minutes before your scheduled weekly music class.

Am I required to attend a weekly music class? Will attendance be taken?

Mrs. Stringer-G would love to see everyones smiling face in weekly specials! Attendance will be taken daily in all Dawson classes.

What happens if I cannot log onto Google Meet or I am not able to attend music class?

No problem! If you are not able to attend, you can watch our morning lesson by visiting the HOME page above, scrolling down to the Weekly Activities slide and clicking on your grade level. All lessons, activities, and songs are recorded and shared weekly here on the website AND on Mrs. Stringer-G's YouTube channel.

Will I have music homework?

No. There will not be any homework assigned or required in music class. If you are working on a song or project that you would like to share with Mrs. Stringer-G, PLEASE do! All communications can be submitted via email at rachel_stringer-grimsley@wrsd.net or on Instagram @dawson_music_makers.

Do I need any musical instruments or supplies at home?

No way! You only need to bring your singing voice and your creative ideas to music class. Mrs. Stringer-G may challenge you to find items in your home that COULD make music- start brainstorming now and we will share your creative ideas when we meet together!

Will there be any music clubs, choirs, or performances this 2020-2021 school year at Dawson?

Sadly, at this time the answer is no. The traditional ensembles and performances we are used to may not happen this school year, however as we make our way through learning the process of remote and hybrid learning, we may find creative and exciting ways to collaborate and make music together.

Are there specific expectations for Google Meet in music class?

Yes. There will be a review of expectations at the start of class for the first few sessions. I will also post them here for your reference.
