The Galt Collegiate Institute Music Department offers a variety of courses in three music disciplines: instrumental (band) music, vocal & choral music, and guitar. We have courses designed for absolute beginners in any brass, woodwind, or percussion instrument, courses for experienced musicians, guitar, and vocal and choral music classes.

Students are encouraged to participate in our extracurricular ensembles to round out their musical experience at school.

Every year, our ensembles perform at our winter and spring music nights, feeder school and community performances, and other school-based events, like Grade 8 Day.
