BCI offers students in grades 11 and 12 the opportunity to earn a SHSM designation in Arts and Culture.
Students enrolled in SHSM will have the opportunity to explore a specific community, economic and/or industry sector of interest and to acquire skills and experiences within that sector, preparing them for post-secondary destination in one of four pathways: Apprenticeship, College, University or the Workplace.
WHAT DOES THE SPECIALIST HIGH SKILLS MAJOR PROGRAM INCLUDE?
Specified, bundled credits, including 4 major credits related to the sector.
Sector-recognized certification training (e.g. CPR, WHMIS, etc…).
Real life experiential learning and “Reach Ahead” opportunities.
Development of the Ontario Skills Passport
