Indigenous Studies

This course investigates the worldview of indigenous and non-indigenous peoples around the world in relation to spirituality, culture, and language. Students will develop an understanding of how conquest and colonialism impacted indigenous peoples in the Americas, Africa, and Australia and current steps towards reconciliation and restoration of their culture.

Prerequisite: Any grade 11 U, M, or C-level course in Indigenous Studies, Canadian & World Studies, or English
