Grade 1 & 2 - Please practice the UFLI home practice sheet with your child. It comes home every Monday attached to their previous week's UFLI Progress Monitoring. We are enjoying our language centers - reading passages that follow our UFLI plan, working on our heart words, and working on reading comprehension.

We are enjoying the chance to write in our journals. This has been a great way to practice what we learn during our language block.

Grade 1 & 2 - We will continue with our unit on addition and subtraction this week. 

Grade 1 & 2 - We are doing learning and activities around safety at home, school, in the car, and while we're away from home (park, walking somewhere).

Grade 1 & 2 - We have been working on throwing and catching skills. We have also explored ball control while bouncing and passing. 

We will begin our exploration in science with the following stands:

Grade 2 - Liquids and Solids

We will begin our exploration in social studies with the following strands:

Grade 1 - Changing Roles and Responsibilities

Grade 2 - Changing Family and Community Traditions 

Drama will be addressed in Term 2

Grade 1 & 2 - We will be looking at different ways we can move our body in different dance phrases.

Core French is being taught by Mme Jessel.

Art is being taught in French and is being taught by Mme Jessel.

Music is being taught by Mrs AV.
