ONLINE COURSE REGISTRATION

How do I log in to PowerSchool? Students may log in using the following:
Username: The first part of your email- grad year last name first initial
Password: StudentID

How many Classes do I need to sign up for?
All students must have at least 6 classes. Seniors and juniors may be eligible for unscheduled periods. Please refer to the student handbook for details regarding unscheduled periods.

CTE Pathways - taking the next course
A student must pass a CTE course with a C or better to move on to the next level of a CTE pathway.

CTE Pathways - Starting CTE programs
Students may only start a 3-year CTE pathway as a Freshman or Sophomore in order to complete the pathway while in high school. 

Work Experience
Students cannot request Work Experience until August. Students should fill their course requests with electives as a placeholder. Once Work Experience is approved by an administrator in August, students may drop an elective for Work Experience. 

Teachers Assistant (TA)
Students need to have a teacher submit the student's name on the TA Approval List. Students should not put TA as an elective unless they have already been approved by a teacher. TA slots are still not always guaranteed due to scheduling conflicts.

Unscheduled Periods
Only seniors may request up to 2 unscheduled periods (2 if the "A-G" track is met, 1 if on track to graduate but not "A-G"). Juniors may have up to 1 unscheduled period (if the "A-G" track is met). 

 Senior Football Players -
Senior football players entering Varsity Football Conditioning 7 & 8 are not allowed to select unscheduled periods on course requests. Seniors will drop Football Conditioning after semester 1 and move into unscheduled periods. 

Placements in specific subjects
Students are encouraged to speak with teachers for recommendations regarding placements (for example: what advanced math class to take senior year). 

Credit Recovery (retaking classes failed)
Students may select "Cyber High Management" and meet with the teacher to create plans for credit recovery

Do we offer AP Chem anymore? What about regular Physics?
AP Chem and AP Physics alternate years. We will be offering AP Physics in the 2024-2025 school year and AP Chemistry again in the 2025-2026 school year. Regular Physics will return each year AP Chemistry is offered.
