Great job today! We added the C7 chord today on "This Land is Your Land". We also learned a new strumming pattern, D-D- du-D (Down, Down, down-up, down). So, practice playing these songs with the new strumming pattern or one that you like:

  • You are My Sunshine

  • This Land is Your Land-adding the C7 Chord

  • House of Gold

Hi 4th and 5th Graders!!

Wow!! I miss you guys!! I hope that you are all finding lots of ways to stay creative and happy during this time at home. We are going to continue to learn in Music! This is a great time to learn the Ukulele because of the extra time that you have to practice! Here are some ways to get going:

  1. If you would like to check out a Ukulele to learn to play at home please sign-up on this list Ukulele Check-Out List . I will make the Ukuleles we have available to check out on Monday or Tuesday of next week (March 30/31). Once you sign-up, I’ll send you the pick-up info. Our first Class will meet on Wednesday, April 1 at 10 AM here: Music Class. Even if you don’t have a Uke yet, please still join in for the Music Class. We will have a weekly Zoom Class to get everyone off to a great start!! Here is a copy of the Ukulele check-out contract: Ukulele Contract. Ukulele's can be picked-up from Mrs. Hladun in the front office during the hours of 12-5 PM on Monday, March 30. Your parents will need to sign the contract before you take the Ukulele home. There will be copies of the contract in the office also.

  2. LCE Talent Show!!! We will have our annual Talent Show regardless of what happens with school being open. I will have all the info for you next week on my website here: Mrs. Adams Music Notes

  3. I would love it if you would check-out your 4th/5th Grade Music page on my website and let me know what you think of the activities. If you send me a picture or a video of you doing one of the activities, I’ll post it on our music page!!

4. If you have a YouTube Channel that you would like to share with other LCE students, send me the link and I’ll get it out there! Just think, if we all subscribed to LCE Colt’s channels!! That’s a lot of subscribers!
