HOW TO APPLY FOR A LOCAL SCHOLARSHIP

Read before applying!

Click the scholarship link.
- If a scholarship link ends with a *, you may apply if you are planning to attend a two- or four-year college.
Follow all directions carefully.
- Only submit the items requested. Do not include extra paperwork, brag sheets, or résumés unless specifically asked.
Using the LHS General Application?
- First, download the application before filling it out.
- You should then be able to type directly into the text boxes.
- Be sure to save your own copy before submitting.
Submitting your application:
- You may turn in a paper copy to Mrs. Meg (Jackstadt) in the Counseling Office, or
- Email it to: mjackstadt@wpusd.org
- Always confirm with Mrs. Meg that your application was received.

- If the application does not specify where to send it (email/mail to the foundation), submit it to Mrs. Meg either in print or by email.

The Jon Field Memorial Agriculture Scholarship
Administered by the Paradigm Legacy Foundation

The purpose of this scholarship is to honor the life and legacy of Jonathan Wayne Field, a devoted rancher, father, and community leader whose passion for agriculture shaped generations of young people in Lincoln, California. This award supports Lincoln High School seniors involved in FFA who plan to pursue further education or a career in agriculture.

Award: at least $1,500 each, awarded to 2 graduating seniors annually

Eligibility:

Must be a graduating senior at Lincoln High School

Active in FFA

Planning to pursue an agriculture-related field

No GPA requirement

Application Requirements:

Additional materials:

2–4 page essay on “How has agriculture impacted your life and how will you apply those skills for the future of agriculture?”

Video introduction (<5 minutes) with brief summary of essay

Referral letter from an agriculture-related mentor, leader, or teacher

🏡 Century 21 Agriculture Scholarship

Award: $500
Eligibility: Open to Lincoln High School seniors enrolled in an Agricultural class who plan to pursue further education after graduation.

Applicants must submit:

Completed application form
Official transcript
Short essay (250 words or fewer) about yourself, your interests, and how you plan to improve your community through volunteerism and why college is critical to your future
Activities record, including community and school involvement
Two letters of recommendation from outside your family

🌿 Sun City Lincoln Hills Garden Group Scholarship 2025–2026

The Sun City Lincoln Hills (SCLH) Garden Group is offering up to two scholarships for the 2025–2026 academic year to graduating high school seniors pursuing a plant-related major.

💰 Awards:

$1,000 for full-time students (12–15 units)
$500 for part-time students (6–11 units)

🎓 Eligibility Criteria:

Must be a California resident with a permanent Lincoln, CA address
Must be a high school senior enrolled in a Lincoln public high school
Must have a minimum 2.75 GPA
Must be accepted and enrolled in a two- or four-year college or university
Must major in one of the following or related fields:
Horticulture, Floriculture, Landscape Design, Botany, Forestry, Conservation, Plant Pathology, Viticulture, Enology
Recipients must provide a recent photo for publicity

🪴Application Requirements:

Typed essay (max two single-spaced pages) describing educational and personal goals and what inspired your field of study
List of community service and volunteer activities, with verification letters
Two signed letters of recommendation from teachers, counselors, or community mentors (no family members)
Official high school transcript and proof of enrollment

Cabrillo Civic Clubs of California, Inc. Undergraduate Scholarship

The State Council Cabrillo Civic Clubs of California, Inc. proudly offers annual scholarships to support high-achieving high school seniors of Portuguese descent pursuing higher education.

💰 Award:

$500 scholarships
Recipients are notified by June 30, 2026

🎓 Eligibility Criteria:

Must be of Portuguese descent and a U.S. citizen or permanent resident
Must be a graduating senior from a California high school
Must have a minimum 3.5 weighted GPA for grades 9–12
Must plan to attend an accredited community college, college, trade school, or university in the U.S.
Must have participated in at least three extracurricular activities during high school
Must submit one letter of recommendation from a principal, dean, counselor, or teacher

(For Dependents of CSEA Members)

The California School Employees Association (CSEA) Chapter #741 offers a $500 Continuing Education Scholarship to support the educational goals of dependents of CSEA members.
This scholarship aims to uplift CSEA families by helping students continue their higher-education journey.

🧑‍🎓 Who Is Eligible?

To qualify, students must meet all criteria:

Must be an IRS dependent of a CSEA Chapter #741 member in good standing
Completed at least one year at a higher-education institution

and be continuing enrollment as a full-time student
Minimum 2.8 cumulative GPA
(official transcript required)
Submit a 500-word statement

Provide two signed letters of recommendation:

- One from a professional
- One from a non-family adult who knows you

Created in connection with Cancer Warrior Night, this scholarship supports LHS football seniors whose lives have been impacted by cancer.

🎓 Graduating senior at Lincoln High School
🏫 Attending college or trade school in the fall (proof of enrollment required)
🏈 Played at least one full season of LHS tackle football
📝 Must submit a 100-word minimum essay describing how cancer has affected your life

A scholarship honoring Miss Tammy Schatz, beloved preschool teacher of Little School House in Lincoln.

Open to LHS seniors who have been involved in varsity sports or school clubs and want to continue their education after graduation.

Eligibility

🏫 Attended LHS for at least ONE full school year
🏅 Played at least one varsity sport or participated in one club for at least one year
🎓 Planning to attend a 2–4 year college or trade school

Required Essay

✍️ A 400–500 word typed essay answering ONE of the following:
• A moment when you contributed to your team/club/school community — and why it mattered
• How involvement in school activities has prepared you for your future
