The Social Media Directory of Academic Libraries is designed to be a resource and research tool for academic librarians, especially those serving in outreach related positions.

The Directory includes active links to social media accounts of academic libraries across the globe and includes a multitude of platforms. The site also provides contact information for each social media manager for every library in the directory. All of the links and contact information are presented in tables which are sort-able and include filters to limit by Country and State.

The Resources page includes a number of web resources that we recommend to academic librarians whom manage or are interested in social media and academic libraries. The resources include active links to a number of suggested social media groups and hashtags to join or follow. A bibliography is available which includes research articles and related resources that are very useful for social media managers and users.

We actively seek new library submissions to the Directory, Recommended Resources, and of course Feedback on the site and its usability.
