Exploration

For my final project I explored the nature surrounding lakes and ponds in or around Westwood. My main focus was trying to use the water or ice in some cases as the middle ground and have the nature of the lake in the foreground and background. Because of the snow it was really bright out so I was able to use an low iso and then I also used a high aperture to try and let less light in because some of my photos were overexposed.  Through this final project I learned how to use the reflection of water to my advantage to make a photo more complex. I also learned how bright the sun is and how it can help or destroy a photo. I chose the picture with the 2 ducks flying in the center of the photo because I thought it was my best work and it also had a lot of interesting colors and had a good composition including the reflection of one of the ducks.
