Purpose

The regulatory purposes of supervision/evaluation are:

• To promote student learning, growth, and achievement by providing educators with feedback for improvement, enhanced opportunities for professional growth, and clear structures for accountability;
• To provide a record of facts and assessments for personnel decisions; and
• To assure effective teaching and administrative leadership.

The Wakefield Public School System is committed to utilize the supervision/evaluation system to support and promote teacher excellence and improvement through collaboration, mentoring, and professional development.
