2025-2026 Winter Sports Update - Sign-ups & Physicals
Penn Wood Family/WPSD Family. Our Winter Sports season is here!!! Please be aware that if any student is interested in any of our winter sports and want to tryout (Girls basketball, Boys Basketball, Girls & Boys Indoor Track, Wrestling(Girls & Boys), Cheerleading) you must sign up via Arbiter and have your physical completed. All of the information and directions are listed below. Tryout dates will be announced shortly by each team/sport and will NOT occur until after the official start date of November 14.
Winter sports officially start on November 14, 2025, there are a few tasks we need to complete before the season begin. PIAA Pre-participation sports’ physical form Section 6 is required to be uploaded to Arbiter Registration (FamilyID). Physical examinations, completed by an Authorized Medical Examiner (AME) are good for one academic year. Physicals must be completed May 1, 2025, or any date after, to be valid for Winter sports during the 2025-26 school year. We will be offering physical exams, at PWHS Green Ave Campus, 9th Grade Academy, and PWMS on Thursday November 6th starting at 8:30am. The doctor will visit each building in succession; the . This cost is still lower than urgent care clinics or CVS minute clinics. If the student received a physical from their doctor on May 1, or any day after they only need to get the PIAA Section 6 form completed by their doctor and then upload into their registration. The Section 5 & 6 paperwork must be filled out by the student and their parent prior to getting the physical done by the doctor. There is an asterisk next to the information that needs to be completed.
If a student is not able to attend on the Nov 6th, students can also go to the doctors’ office, Sports Science Center, 166 Saxer Ave. Springfield, PA. 19064. The . Call before you go and make sure section 5 and section 6 have the student and parent signatures and all other information filled out 610-328-7262. All the information and instructions on how to set up an Arbiter Registration account and update an existing account are outlined in the attached paperwork. Please only use copies of the forms that are attached to this email. This is the most updated version of the PIAA forms, old versions will not be accepted. The link below will take you to our Arbiter Registration page. Only Section 6 needs to be uploaded under the section titled “Most Recent Physical” in Arbiter Registration. Students can also get their physical exam done by their physician; they are still required to have the PIAA Section 6 form completed on/after May 1, 2025, and upload the document to their Arbiter Registration (Family ID) account, prior to participation.
