The talented art program is designed for those students who have exceptional creativity which is not met in the regular classroom setting. A teacher referral, screening, testing, and an I.E.P. are required for placement in this art program. Students will learn to recognize, distinguish, and   appreciate art and influences of differing cultures and historical periods. Students will examine the elements and principles of  design through visual and verbal critique. Students will develop skills in the care of art supplies and equipment.  Students will explore careers in the field of art and create a portfolio.
