Business Computer Application (BCA) is the second of two courses designed to provide students with basic computer application skills. Strong emphasis is placed in the areas of word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation applications.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
Students will study advanced computer concepts and software applications
Emphasis is placed on skill development in using technology to perform advanced information processing.
Topics of study include computer concepts, word processing, spreadsheet, database and presentation software applications.
Students will develop the knowledge and skills necessary to pass the Microsoft Office Specialist (MOS) 2016 certification exams.
Certification Grading Scale
In order for a student to receive a certification, the student MUST receive a 700 -1000 on the Certiport certification test. At this time, BCA has three possible certifications - Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel. Entrepreneurship has a regional and a state certification.
Students will be given the access code for their class.
