The Whitney Point High School
The High School
The High School was constructed in 1967. There was an addition put on the high school in 1991 and there has been talk about replacing the High school in the future. Renovations to the high school have also happened in recent years. The high school was also the latest school to be built in Whitney Point.
Inside The High School
The current principal of the high school is now Mr. Sweeney. The high school was opened in 1967 and is still running today. The high school is for 9th through 12th grade and is sometimes called the senior high school. When the high school opened the 9th grade was still located at the Route 11 building. Ninth grade eventually moved up to the high school after the addition was added.
Tressa Corcoran
She was the first principal of the High School.
Osmer Brooks
He was the first vice principal of the high school. The year the high school opened was his 35th year working for WPCSD.
The Pool
Even though the pool is connected to the CEA the pool water mains and such are connected to the High School. This means the pool and high school were built about the same time.
