The members of the Storyline International Leadership Team:
Margaretha Häggström PhD is a senior lecturer at the Faculty of Art and the Department of Art Teacher Education, with an orientation towards multimodal and aesthetic perspectives on education and eco-pedagogy. She is involved in the Teacher Education Programs at University, and in research on sustainability and resilience in preschool education. Her special field concern aesthetics as didactical tools, participation and communication, and inclusive pedagogical methods, as well as multimodality in education. Her research interests concern aesthetic experiences, outdoor pedagogy and transformative learning, and in cross-curricular teaching and learning, such as The Storyline Approach.
She has worked with Storyline, both as an upper secondary school teacher, and as a teacher educator. Together with Kristine Høeg Karlsen from Østfold University College, she has edited Teaching through Stories (2020), an anthology about The Storyline Approach in Teacher Education.
Iliopoulou Ifigenia is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Primary Education at the University of the Aegean, Greece, specializing in Environmental Education and Education for Sustainability. She has expertise in the pedagogical approach of Storyline. She worked for 16 years in primary education and served as a Laboratory Teaching Staff (EDIP) member in the Department of Special Education at the University of Thessaly.
She has published articles in international and Greek scientific journals and has been actively involved in teacher training for many years. Additionally, she is the scientific coordinator and instructor in a program by the Center for Lifelong Learning (KEDIVIM) at the University of Thessaly, which trains and certifies participants in Storyline methodology. Virginia (Gini) Lockhart-Pedersen is an assistant professor at the Norwegian National Center for English and Foreign language in Education, Østfold University College. She has 20 years of teaching experience grades 7-12, in Norway and the United States. In her current position at the Language Center, Gini works with teacher education and professional development of practicing teachers. She has been involved with developing and researching Storyline in schools, teacher education, and as professional development. The Storyline approach supports Gini’s love of language, aesthetic approaches to learning, and inclusive education. Most recently, she has included competences for sustainability as the focus for her Storyline work.
Carol is an International Storyline Consultant, Trainer, Designer, Chair of Storyline International Leadership and Author of Storyline: creative learning across the curriculum and Storyline: Developing effective questioning. She has taught in nursery and primary school and lectured at University. She currently delivers Storyline CLPL and workshops.
Doris Kocher holds a PhD in Education and was a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) at the Paedagogische Hochschule / University of Education in Freiburg, Germany. She formerly worked as a teacher at secondary school and then continued her studies to get a degree / diploma in media education. At university she has conducted several research projects on the motivation and learning outcome of Storyline in TEFL. She teaches Storyline courses at university and other institutions, attends national and international conferences to share her experiences with Storyline, and furthermore wrote her doctoral thesis on Storyline in TEFL.
