Open the "Inspector" shortcut to use the 3D model editor (Inspector) for adding/ setting up environments, adding objects to a scene, tagging objects as grabbable, previewing animations, adding lighting, swapping textures, setting your starting point, and more.
If creating a new Lesson, create a new folder inside the "Collections" folder and give it a name. If modifying an existing lesson you can open the existing models in Inspector. For more information see this page.

Use "File - Open" to add a new model.
Click on the root node in the top left scene graph.
Look at the bottom right to see the size in meters.
Click "File - Add".
Navigate to the scene_objects folder
Add the START_POINT_SINGLE to place the starting position for running single user (white)
Add the START_POINT_CLIENT to place the starting position for a client (this can be different for each user/ computer) (purple)
Add the START_POINT_INSTRUCTOR to place the starting position for the instructor (blue)
Can add all three if desired. If no START_POINT object found a user will start at the origin point (the middle point of the environment object)
Use these tools to modify objects in your scene:
Move: Reposition objects
Scale: Change object size
Rotate: Change object orientation
To change the participant's starting position, move and rotate the START_POINT object.
If your environment model doesn't include all the objects you want:
Go to "File - Add".
Add the desired objects.
Use the transform tools to position, rotate, and scale the object(s).
The scene graph on the left shows your list of nodes.
A red, blue, and green node is a group node, which is crucial for grabbing/interacting with objects
Most added objects come in as group nodes.
If not, right-click and select "Insert Above - Group" on any node you wish to add as an object that can be interacted with.
For objects already in your model that you want to interact with, add a group node above them.
To move, scale or rotate the objects, click on the transform node (with the gear icon) and use the transform tools. If there is no transform node, right click and choose Insert Above- Transform. Note: there may be issues if you have a group node object underneath another scene object.
Right-click on the group node.
Select "Rename".
Enter a unique name (check for existing names using the "Search" option in the top right).
Tip: To automatically be able to grab objects add the line "_tag" at the end of the name
This will also tag the object for prompting the AI agent to give information based on the name of the object.
You can also add things such as lights, backgrounds and more with Inspector. To add a light, go to Create- Light and choose Directional, Point or Spot Light. Clicking on the light will bring up its attributes on the right.
Select "File - Save" and save your model into your "Collections" folder where your new Lesson exists.
Close the 3D model editor window.
Using an External Reference Model
If you want to re-use a 3D model without having to add it every time and take up more hard drive space, you can reference an external model by placing it in a folder below your collection (call this something like "objects") and then going to Create- External Reference
Adding 3D Text
To add 3D text for something like a label above an object, go to Create- Text 3D. Then use the scale, move and rotate tools to place the 3D text. Use the properties on the right to change the text field.
