Code of Conduct

The Urban Mindfulness Code of Conduct:

At the Urban Mindfulness Summit we intend to create and cultivate an atmosphere of mutual respect, civility and kindness. The Summit is a place that is welcoming and respectful to all participants, regardless of race, gender, gender identity and expression, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, national origin, ethnicity, or religion. So that everyone can focus on the benefits of mindfulness, the great networking and community richness that happens when we get together in person, we cannot and will not tolerate harassment of Summit participants in any way, shape or form. Examples of harassment include offensive comments, verbal threats or demands, sexualized images in public spaces, intimidation, stalking, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption, and unwelcome physical contact or sexual attention. Harassment also includes slights and negative messages, both unintended and intentional, based solely on appearance (sometimes called microaggressions).

Because we believe that "we're in this love together”, we expect all participants—attendees, presenters, partners, and volunteers—to follow the Code of Conduct during the conference (and hopefully in life). Failure to comply with the code of conduct will result in swift and immediate action. Please bring any concerns to the immediate attention of the event staff or send email to event producer, Sonia Russell, sonia@worldmeetingsbysonia.com
