As a prep cook, you play a crucial role in the kitchen by assisting with the preparation of ingredients and ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly. Also, you will be following recipes and portion guidelines accurately, adhering to food safety standards and guidelines, operating kitchen equipment such as knives, slicers, mixers, and food processors safely and efficiently, monitoring inventory levels of ingredients and notifying the kitchen manager or chef when supplies are running low, maintaining a clean and organized workspace, working closely with other kitchen staff, assisting during peak service hours by assembling ingredients, preparing garnishes, and supporting line cooks as needed, being flexible and adaptable to changes in menu items, production schedules, and kitchen priorities, inspecting ingredients for freshness and quality, and notifying the chef of any concerns or issues, following kitchen safety protocols and procedures to prevent accidents and injuries and staying informed about food trends, culinary techniques, and safety regulations to improve skills and performance in the kitchen. Arrive on time, in uniform and clock in. Greet customers, stablish rapport and identify specific needs, time constraints and dining expectation. Exceed customer expectations, seek their return visit and/or recommendation to friends. Complete assigned side work at beginning and end of shift. Check stock and service ware levels and do requisition. Pre-check all items ordered and receive valid payment from customer. Make sure all accounting procedures are correct, for example proper credit card or room charge information. Execute Effective use/ management of company resources.

Maintain clean guest rooms, hallways, closets, vans and overall storage areas of housekeeping supplies. Also, you will have to clean rooms and guest hallways per Standards of Operation, report all room and guest hallway maintenance problems to housekeeping office, report van maintenance and accidents to Housekeeping Leads and Supervisors, keep work area clean and use proper cleaning techniques, properly use supplies to minimize waste, read all posted material on Housekeeping bulletin board to know what is going on in the resort, attend line-ups, wear proper uniform and promotional bulletin, call guests by name and attend to any special request, and has courtesy and respect for fellow associates and report any problems that may arise because of fellow associates to Housekeeping Leads or Supervisors. During winter, you must be able to perform duties of snow shoveling, ice removal, and in some cases …snowplowing duties. You must be able to operate all grounds equipment and resort vehicles in a safe manner. Also, you will have to do daily mowing or conditioning of the grounds and other related areas connected to the well being of the resort, operate grounds equipment in an efficient manner, inform the mechanic of any and all changes in operating and performance of their equipment, perform daily basic maintenance on the equipment, which includes the checking of ALL fluid levels, work closely with and assist the Grounds Manager, work independently of supervision, must be able to perform any other duties deemed necessary by the grounds manager, must be prepared and able to work in all weather conditions, be punctual/ dependable and be willing to adapt to a schedule that revolves around occupancy levels and weather events, must be able to work in a courteous and respectful manner with all SCR associates, and must have an eye for detail and be willing to “do whatever it takes” to get the job done.
