Flexible Programs for Every Family
We understand that trying something new can be a big decision. Not every family is ready to commit to a monthly membership right away and that's okay.
That's why we offer several ways to begin your Judo journey, including:
2-Week Intro Program
4-Week Beginner Program
Monthly Youth Membership
After-School Judo
While the commitment options are different, the instruction, class times, curriculum, and coaching remain the same. Every student receives the same high-quality training and support, regardless of how they begin.
Whether your child wants to experience Judo before making a long-term commitment or you're ready to join our monthly program, we provide a pathway that allows families to find the option that fits them best.
What Your Child Will Learn
Judo is much more than throwing and grappling. Every class is designed to build confidence, discipline, respect, and resilience while teaching safe, effective techniques.
Students will learn:
Proper breakfalls (how to fall safely)
Throws
Pins and groundwork
Balance and coordination
Respect and self-discipline
Teamwork and perseverance
As students progress, they gain confidence both on and off the mat while developing skills that last a lifetime.
Is Judo Safe?
Absolutely. Safety is one of our highest priorities.
While Judo includes throws, pins, and controlled grappling, every technique is taught progressively and under the supervision of experienced instructors. Before students ever begin throwing one another, they first learn proper falling techniques (ukemi) to help them land safely and confidently.
Our goal is not simply to teach techniques; it's to teach them correctly, safely, and with respect for training partners.
What Does a Typical Class Look Like?
Each class may vary slightly, but most sessions include:
Dynamic warm-ups and movement drills
Technical instruction
Partner practice and skill development
Games that reinforce Judo concepts for younger students, or grip fighting and supervised randori (live practice) as students progress
Every class is structured to keep students engaged while developing both skill and confidence.
What Should My Child Wear?
For each class, students should:
Wear comfortable athletic clothing under their uniform
Remove all jewelry before stepping onto the mat
Tie back long hair
Bring a positive attitude and willingness to learn
A Judo uniform (gi) is required for training.
Students participating in a trial may be provided with a loaner gi, based on availability.
Families who need additional time before purchasing a gi may rent one for a small fee, based on availability.
