Prior to going out on internship during their senior year, students will have completed their Nursing Assistant Certification along with CPR, First Aid, dementia, and OSHA certification.

Student on internship in the Allied Health Science Vocational Program generally work as certified nursing assistants (CNAs) and support staff at local area nursing homes. Some of the responsibilities of the interns include: providing bed side manner, transporting patients, bathing, and assisting patients during occupational therapy.
