Q: What if I'm going to be absent from school for an extended period of time?
A: Your child should let their teachers know as well as their assistant principal. The student is responsible for making up the work and they may be in danger of losing credit in the class if this causes them to exceed 14 absences.
Q: What if I'm going to be out of school for a week or more because of a surgery, illness?
A: Let the counselor, assistant principal and teachers know (via email) and make a plan with them how the student will make up the work.
Q: What if I am sick and can't go to class?
A: Send an email to the teacher and keep up with the assignments that you missed. Plan to go to the teacher's extra help session to get help with what you missed
