"Educational Talent Search (ETS) is a federally funded TRIO program designed to serve youth who have the potential to succeed in college but who are educationally and economically disadvantaged. Each year, 800 Worcester students in grades 6 through 12 are served, with the ultimate goal of insuring that they graduate from high school and successfully enroll in a post-secondary program appropriate to their interests and abilities. In most cases, these students are the first in their families to go to college. In many cases they are the first to graduate from high school. The ETS college placement rate is typically over 90 percent.
MassEdCO, Inc. operates ETS in Claremont Academy, staffed by Education Advisor Jessica Burris, two days per week, for grades 11 and 12. Services that are part of ETS Claremont include college selection and application process, financial aid application assistance, college and career advising, and field trips. Contact Ms. Burris at jburris@massedco.org for an application, or pick up a paper application in the Second Floor Guidance Office."
