The Project

This project raises ethical issues about privacy, digital humanities, and the ethics of doing histories of sexuality of people who did not consent to the project. As a result, I do not refer to any of the people by their last names in these documents.

In March of 2019, I presented "The Story of Midge" at a Shared Scholarship event at Worcester State. Here is the PowerPoint for that presentation, which includes my notes for each slide (PDF format).

My sabbatical proposal for Spring of 2020 centered upon the Story of Midge. As a proposal, it is not a blueprint for the final project, but a starting point. I am creating this site in part to document the research process, and part of that process is discovering that your plans shift.
