SCHOOL TOURS 2023-24

Come and join us at Wootton Primary School for our open days this autumn. We have dates throughout October and November. Come and take a look at our amazing facilities, including a sports hall, dance studio, an impressive library and a music room with plenty of instruments and a musician to teach the students.

Contact office@woottonprimaryschool.org or via telephone on 01604 761679 to find out more information and to book your place.

MY TEACHER, MY HERO

On 5th October it is Census Day and Wootton Primary School, in collaboration with Kingswood Catering, are providing a fantastic Theme Day Event. Our theme is MY TEACHER MY HERO. Children are invited to come into school dressed as their favourite teacher. This could be a fictional teacher, a sports coach, dance teacher, or even one of our very own teaching or support staff at Wootton Primary School. There will be a prize for best dressed in each classroom. Every child that orders a meal on this day will receive a personalised theme day sticker from Kingswood Catering. They have designed a fun Super Hero Menu to go alongside this too!

We can't wait to see who everyone chooses to dress up as!

VALUE: CARING | BE THE BEST YOU CAN BE: REFLECTIVE LEARNER

YEAR 2 VICTORIAN DAY REMINDER

The YEAR 2 children are really looking forward to our Victorian School Day on Monday 2nd October. Just a reminder that the children are being asked to come to school as a Victorian child. If you are struggling to find a costume; boys can come to school wearing their school trousers but preferable with a white shirt rather than a polo shirt and girls could wear their skirts with a white blouse.

On Monday morning, the children will be expected to line up on the netball court before entering the classroom door. Therefore if you do arrive early please remain in that area of the playground. I am sure the children will have lots to tell you on Monday evening, any feedback from your children and yourselves would be much appreciated, please email me on josmith@woottonprimaryschool.org.

Thank you for your continued support

MCMILLAN COFFEE MORNING

On Friday 29th September, our school held a Macmillan Coffee Morning to raise money for this important charity. The event was a huge success. We raised nearly £200 in cash and that's without counting the online donations. THANK YOU!

We would like to thank everyone who supported the coffee morning in any way, whether by baking or donating cakes, or simply coming along to enjoy a cup of coffee and a slice of cake.

The atmosphere on the day was wonderful, and so many members of our school community came together to support a worthy cause.

We are so grateful for the support of our school community and for the generosity of everyone who donated. The money raised will go towards helping people living with cancer and their families.

ECO WARRIORS

Meet our 2023/24 Eco Warrior committee. We are already discussing some exciting initiatives for this year so watch this space!

Just a reminder that we collect any sized batteries, ink cartridges, Brita water filters and crisp packets.

Please help us to recycle wherever possible.

YEAR 6 MAT OLYMPICS

We are taking all Year 6 children to Stantonbury Stadium on Friday 6th October for the day so that they can participate in our Multi Academy Trust Olympics, whereby they will compete against Year 6 pupils from 2 other schools. A letter with more information will follow about this but the school is paying for the cost of the coach for this event so there is no cost to parents/ carers. They will need to wear their PE kit for this day (including a hoodie/ jumper) and have suitable clothing for the weather (eg raincoat or sunscreen and hat).

They will also need to bring a packed lunch in their bag as well as a drinks bottle and a snack for the morning.
