I am a research scientist turned K-12 teacher. I believe in a hands-on approach to learning and that collaboration key to building  knowledge. I am from the Finger Lakes region of central NY and began my career as an entomologist. My daughter is a Woods student and we spend a great deal of our free time outside hiking and identifying things out on the trails.
