A Letter From Your Editor-In-Chief
By Lily Baker
Dear Readers,
This is the 5th time the Journalism class has published in the 2025-26 school year and the publications keep getting better and the same with the articles.
The articles cover a wide variety of topics, from a newborn giraffe with a distinctive hairdo, a Michigan cell phone ban in schools, and some fun recipes. There are also many articles on the Olympics and the US competitors.
Woodland has a lot of events past and coming up. The middle schoolers had a movie night. Young Peacebuilders Club is put on a canned food drive with all donations going to the Father Fred Foundation. And the primary village just had a field trip to the Dennos Museum where they learned all about dinosaurs.
In recent news, podcasts are back! The Woodland Times now has a section called podcasts. A couple of groups with 2-3 people who have different interests and topics that they talk about on their podcasts. So make sure to check it out!
When walking in the Woodland Times class, the atmosphere is a chill vibe with the whole team working together. People are in little groups, discussing their articles and some small groups are in the recording room, recording their podcasts. Overall, the Journalism team is a tight-knit community and we are always working.
Yours truly, your Editor-In-Chief, Lily Baker
