Good afternoon parents,

Well, we can enjoy a couple more weeks of slowness on campus. Volleyball has wrapped up and I believe football is also winding down. This is a great time to take advantage of this and turn attention towards school and finishing these last 6 weeks of the semester on a strong note. 

From my perspective the 1st official grade check went well. This was the best start that I have seen in the 5 years I have had the privilege of leading the Middle School. So keep up the great effort parents and students.

• Mrs. Sucevich is spearheading the Operation Christmas Child collection at the Middle School. You can see the attached flyer or reach out to Mrs. Sucevich at asucevich@woodlandchristian.org 

• Our Spelling Bee will be November 18 at 8:45. If your child has signed up please encourage them to prepare some before showing up.

Lunch Supervision

P.I.L.A

Which stands for Participation - Involvement - Leadership - Award, is an opportunity for students to add to their academic and athletic involvement on campus and community. This program encourages students to take ownership of their time and experience while on the WCMS campus. In doing so, they give back and help our campus and community and make it a better place. I attached a copy. If you and your child are interested, please read through it and turn in the requested form.

Yearbook

This year Lindsay Hardin and Jennifer Prado have volunteered to produce this year's yearbook. Since they can't be everywhere at one time, they would appreciate pictures that you may take at any school event. You can email them with your pictures  at: woodlandchristianMSyearbook@gmail.com

A new year can sometimes be a new beginning. This is what is so great about Middle School. You get to start fresh each year and each semester. Lamentations 3:22-23 reminds us of this as Jeremiah tells us - 

The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;[a]

    his mercies never come to an end;

23 they are new every morning;

    great is your faithfulness.

My prayer for all is that each and every family would treasure the love and faithfulness of God and the promise of eternal mercy and grace made possible through the life, sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

4 C's to focus on for the rest of the semester.

1) Consistent attendance,

 2) Consistent homework turned in.

 3) Consistent time studying for tests. 

4)  Consistent check of  FACTS to monitor the progress of your student

Please encourage your child to make use of their planner so that you can see what needs to be done and what needs to be studied.
