Good Afternoon Parents,
I pray that all of you had a restful and thankful break and are ready to make this final push into the new calendar year while we wrap up this 1st semester.
If you haven't yet, please have your student sign up for the Spring Electives
We have just two weeks before Finals Week. These finals are designed to help students prepare for the realities of high school. While they don’t impact grades as significantly as they will in high school, they provide valuable practice in preparing for and taking exams. These next 2 weeks teachers will be reviewing current and past material, so attendance is important.
If your student will miss any part of Finals Week before Christmas Break, please connect with your student’s teachers ahead of time to make arrangements to take the tests early.

P.I.L.A
Which stands for Participation - Involvement - Leadership - Award, is an opportunity for students to add to their academic and athletic involvement on campus and community. This program encourages students to take ownership of their time and experience while on the WCMS campus. In doing so, they give back and help our campus and community and make it a better place. I attached a copy. If you and your child are interested, please read through it and turn in the requested form.
Yearbook
This year Lindsay Hardin and Jennifer Prado have volunteered to produce this year's yearbook. Since they can't be everywhere at one time, they would appreciate pictures that you may take at any school event. You can email them with your pictures at: woodlandchristianMSyearbook@gmail.com
A new year can sometimes be a new beginning. This is what is so great about Middle School. You get to start fresh each year and each semester. Lamentations 3:22-23 reminds us of this as Jeremiah tells us -
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;[a]
his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
My prayer for all is that each and every family would treasure the love and faithfulness of God and the promise of eternal mercy and grace made possible through the life, sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
4 C's to focus on for the rest of the semester.
1) Consistent attendance,
2) Consistent homework turned in.
3) Consistent time studying for tests.
4) Consistent check of FACTS to monitor the progress of your student
Please encourage your child to make use of their planner so that you can see what needs to be done and what needs to be studied.
FACTS
Don't forget that FACTS is a helpful tool in keeping track of what is going on in the classroom. If you have yet to download the family app please see the tutorial at the bottom of this home page.
When you have a chance, I welcome you to read my 2 Cents on PEACE
