Good evening, Parents,

We are 1 week away from our Homecoming Week. We will start the week off on Oct 5 by joining the HS for a Rally. Last year we tried this for the first time and it was exciting for our Middle Schoolers and a success. We certainly pegged the noise meter :)

There will be dress up days during HOCO week, in which class points will be awarded which will accumulate for our Spirit Week in March

If, after the grade check, you find that you student may be struggling in a specific class, then please reach out now to their teachers. A little proactive work now will pay off big dividends laster.

Unlike the Elementary Campus, we do not hold Parent/Teacher Conferences in October. We have found it to be more proactive and beneficial for parents to begin communicating with teachers now, following this first grade check. This gives us an opportunity to address any questions, make corrections or adjustments, and provide support where needed before the first official grade check in October.

Our hope is that these early grade checks will help keep communication open between home and school and allow us to work together to support your student throughout the year.

As a reminder, students who participate in extracurricular activities must maintain a 2.0 GPA with no F’s or a 3.0 GPA with one F in order to maintain eligibility. Our official grade check will take place on October 23.

Lockers

Even though we have gates and fences, items may still  disappear after school hours or during middle school and high school games. Please remind your students to use their lockers with a lock or be sure to take it home with them. We have had a common time when things have gone missing

Lunch Supervision

One of our most valuable volunteer opportunities is helping with Middle School Lunch Supervision.

After students finish eating, they have approximately 30 minutes to socialize, play, and burn off some energy before returning to class. During this time, having additional adults on campus helps us provide a safe, enjoyable, and well-supervised environment for everyone.

Lunch runs from 11:25 a.m. to 12:05 p.m. Volunteers simply help supervise student activities, encourage positive interactions, and ensure students remain in their designated areas. No special experience is needed—just a friendly presence and a willingness to invest in our students.

Your time and support make a tremendous difference in the daily life of our middle school. Thank you for partnering with us and for your willingness to serve our school community.
