Good Evening Parents,
Our annual IOWA testing will be administered on April 1 and 2. These assessments provide valuable feedback that helps us identify areas where we can improve instruction and better meet the needs of our students. Please make every effort to have your student present on both days, and encourage them to come to school well rested and with a good breakfast.
If a student must miss a test, make-up testing will take place during electives after we return from Easter Break.
Since the café will be closed during testing days, I would like to provide some snacks for students during their breaks. If you would like to help with this, please consider signing up through this SignUp Genius .
The third quarter Official Grade Check is in two weeks, March 13.. This Spring we have a large percentage of students participating in sports and other activities. Please check FACTS often to make sure they stay or become eligible. The next grade check to become eligible would be April 11.
Although March 27 may seem far away, it will be here before we know it. That is the date of our annual Service Day. Last year was a tremendous success, with many meaningful projects completed on campus. This year, we are excited to expand our efforts by partnering with the City of Woodland for a service project at the Woodland Cemetery.
To make this day as successful as last year, we will need your help. We are looking for volunteers to assist teachers on campus, as well as parents who are willing to help drive and supervise our 8th graders at the cemetery. If you are able and willing to serve, please visit our SignUp Genius to sign up.

We’re excited to once again wrap up the school year with our annual End-of-the-Year BBQ & Water Day!

Students will enjoy:
Hamburgers and hot dogs
Chips, snacks, and ice cream
Water slides
Dunk tank and other inflatables
Grass volleyball and Gaga ball
It’s sure to be a fun-filled Friday!
Cost: $27 per student.
Please use the attached form to register, or drop off cash/check at the school office.
I will also be sending out a SignUp Genius soon for parents who would like to come observe, join in the fun, or help with the BBQ.
Please let me know if you have any questions — we’re looking forward to a great day together!
Lunch Supervision
We can always use help at lunch supervising the students. Thank you to those who have already volunteered with this. It has been much appreciated! Lunch Supervision SignUp Genius
Yearbook
This year Lindsay Hardin and Jennifer Prado have volunteered to produce this year's yearbook. Since they can't be everywhere at one time, they would appreciate pictures that you may take at any school event. You can email them with your pictures at: woodlandchristianMSyearbook@gmail.com
A new year can sometimes be a new beginning. This is what is so great about Middle School. You get to start fresh each year and each semester. Lamentations 3:22-23 reminds us of this as Jeremiah tells us -
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases;[a]
his mercies never come to an end;
23 they are new every morning;
great is your faithfulness.
My prayer for all is that each and every family would treasure the love and faithfulness of God and the promise of eternal mercy and grace made possible through the life, sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
4 C's to focus on for the rest of the semester.
1) Consistent attendance,
2) Consistent homework turned in.
3) Consistent time studying for tests.
4) Consistent check of FACTS to monitor the progress of your student
Please encourage your child to make use of their planner so that you can see what needs to be done and what needs to be studied.
FACTS
Don't forget that FACTS is a helpful tool in keeping track of what is going on in the classroom. If you have yet to download the family app please see the tutorial at the bottom of this home page.

Competitive athletes, special awards/honors, community service, projects/groups etc.
Please send pictures or your kids doing what they love while being/serving in the community.
