Woodland Community Scholarship Application

Coca Cola Scholarship: Each year, the Coca-Cola Scholars Foundation awards 150 college scholarships worth $20,000 to high school students across the United States through the Coca-Cola Scholars Program. Students need a 3.0 GPA and to fill out an online application that requires no essays, no recommendations, and no transcripts bySeptember 30th, at 5 p.m. Eastern. Acorn Equality Fund Scholarship: Scholarships range from $1000 to $4000.  The Acorn Equality Fund is a grassroots organization that provides scholarships for Gay, Lesbian,Bisexual, and Transgender (GBLT), persons, their children, and allies in Illinois' downstate counties.  Applications are available at acornequalityfund.org  Deadline: September 20, 2024

Livingston County Pheasants Forever Scholarship Fund: Up to 3 $500.00 scholarships will be awarded based on the following: C+ or better GPA, involvement in hunting or interest in wildlife conservation, involvement in extra curricular activities, community service, HS senior from Livingston Ct., and completed scholarship application and essay.  Applications can be picked up in Mrs. Lee's office.   DEADLINE: February 24, 2025

Golden Apple Award: Up to $23,000 in financial assistance for college, inclusive of paid Scholar InstitutesExtensive classroom teaching experience, Academic and social-emotional support, job placement assistance, Mentoring from our award-winning teaching faculty.  To Be Eligible:Students attending Illinois schools who are high school seniors, freshmen/sophomores in college and community college students, Illinois resident, U.S. citizens, eligible non-citizens, or Illinois Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) students, Please note: Standardized test scores are optional and not required for acceptance to the program this year. David E. Willis Memorial Scholarship: Up to $1000For students who are planing to pursue a career in agriculture or attending a vocational, technical, or trade school.  Applicants will need to demostrate a strong current work ethic as well as participation in community and volunteer activities.  Must be a current 4 H member in good standing of the Cornel Classic Clovers or Long Point Wide Awake Timberline Club and/or member of the FFA Chapter of Flanagan Cornell Unit 74 or Woodland School District #5. Jurczak Memorial Scholarship: Mrs. Jurczak was Woodland's Librarian for over 30 years and her family has made a memorial scholarship. Graduating senior from either Woodland HS or Fieldcrest HS.  This is a $500.00 scholarship.  Applications can be picked up in guidance office.  Deadline: March 15, 2025

Chapter IC of the PEO Sisterhood Scholarship: $500.00 to one graduating senior woman from Woodland HS who will be attending a 2 year, 4 year, or vocational school. The criteria is student academic achievement, leadership, and community involvement. See Mrs. Lee for application. Deadline: March 14, 2025

Arvetta M Lewis Scholarship: $500.00 scholarship has been set up to assist graduating seniors form Ford and Livingston Ct who plan to attend U of I and majoring in an agricultural field.  Applications can be picked up in Mrs. Lee's office. Deadline: May 15, 2025

Dean Ritter Trust Scholarship: Award amounts $1000-8000 Must have a significant hearing loss in one or both ears, be a resident of IL, be a high school senior, and exhibit financial need.  Apply online at www.deanritter.org/2022-scholarship/  Deadline: January 1, 2025

Chesbro/Cushman/Kyser Scholarship: Scholarship for Livingston Ct. graduates.  Preference to students attending a 4 year college/university.  See Mrs. Lee for application.  Deadline: March 3, 2025

Financial Plus Credit Union Scholarship: 20 scholarships will be given, 10 $150.00 Bucks for books and 10 $500.00 scholarships.  See Mrs. Lee for application  Deadline: April 4, 2025

SOCU Scholarship: It’s that time of year for your students to apply for our member scholarship! SOCU offers 12 $1000 educational scholarships for SOCU members.. The deadline for applications to be submitted is April 1st, 2024.   Applications can be picked up in Mrs.. AES Engineers Scholarship:  $500.00Our belief is that achieving a high grade point average should not be the only criteria for determining who deserves to be helped. For that reason we are offering a scholarship that will be awarded on the basis of character, as determined by an evaluation of the essays that are submitted. Scholarships are intended for our future leaders across a wide spectrum of fields of study. This award is available to high school seniors and all students attending a post secondary educational facility. You are not required to be taking Engineering courses to be eligible. American Legion Auxiliary: Illinois Scholarship for Junior Members: Applicants for this award shall be Junior members of the Department of Illinois American Legion Auxiliary and held this membership for the las 3 years.  This is a $1000 scholarship.  See Mrs. Lee for application.  Deadline: April 10, 2025


American Legion Auxiliary: Past President's Parley Scholarship: This is a Nursing scholarship for an applicant who is currently accepted into an accredited nursing program or enrolled in classes required for the nursing program.   See Mrs. Lee for application.  Deadline: April 10, 2025


American Legion Auxiliary: Ada Mucklestone Memorial Scholarship: Shall be children or grandchildren of veterans who served in the Armed Forced during eligibility dates for membership in the American Legion.  This is a $1000 scholarship. Qualifications are based on character, essay, scholarship, and need based.  See Mrs. Lee for application.  Deadline: April 10, 2025

The Illinois Heartland Decorative Artists Scholarship: For a graduating senior who will attend an accredited art program following high school.  Visit www.ihda.us/educatoin.html to download and instructions.  Deadline: April 21, 2025

The Township Officials of Illinois Scholarship: Will award 7 $2000 scholarships. Applications can be picked up in Mrs. Lee's office deadline: March 1, 2025

Rising Star: Elementary Education $5000 scholarship must be attending Illinois State University

Carol and Dick Janko Scholarship for Promising Entrepreneurs: must have entrepreneurial experience during high school  Total of $7500 will be awarded

The Internet of Things Scholarship: two $2500 scholarships. preference given to students who are interest in engineering, science, computers, and technology.

The mac-Aero Scholarship for Aeronautics and Aviation: one 10,000 scholarship must be pursuing a degree in Aviation or Aeronautics

The Stephen Charles Vogler Memorial Scholarship for Electronics or communications: must be pursuing an Associates degree at IVCC in Electronics or Communications

The Robert Cotner Memorial Scholarship: $1500 for a student studying English. Literature, or fine arts (painting, sculpture, drawing, photography, music, dance, or theater)

Bank of Pontiac  Agriculture Scholarship:  Must be planning on majoring in Agriculture $1500. Based on financial need, achievement, and class standing. Can pick up application in Mrs. Lee's office. Deadline: March 18, 2025

Arventta M Lewis Scholarship: must be graduating from Ford or Livingston HS. $500 minimum. Must be enrolled in College of Agriculture at the University of Illinois  Applicants are based on character, academic achievement, professional promise, career plans, community involvement, financial need. Applications can be picked up in Mrs. Lee's office. Deadline: May 15, 2025

Fred Drendel Memorial Scholarship-Agriculture: 2 $1000 HS senior pursuing a degree or career in an agriculture related field. Application can be picked up in Mrs. Lee's office Deadline: March 28, 2025

Horatio Alger Scholarship: . 600 scholarships are available that range from $10000-25,000.  The Focus of this scholarship is on high school juniors. Must demonstrate critical financial need (65,000 or lower adjusted gross family income).  Students may apply at horatioalger.org/scholarships Deadline: March 15, 2025

Illinois Sheriff's Association Scholarship: $500.00 scholarship.  To be eligible must be: IL resident, must attend a school of higher learning inside the state of IL, and must be enrolled full time. IVCC Foundation Scholarships: Please announce to your students the IVCC Foundation online scholarship application is now available for the 2023-24 school year. https://ivcc.awardspring.com/ This link also lists all scholarships available, general and program specific. Livingston County Home and Community Education Scholarship: $1000 scholarship for a person pursuing a degree in Family and Consumer Sciences or related field.  See Mrs. Lee for application.  Deadline May 31, 2025

Streator Leading Ladies Scholarship: $500.00 scholarship must be a female from Woodland HS, must display leadership potential and a dedication towards community service.  Must have two letters of recommendation one academic and one personal. Woodland PTO Scholarship: Offering 2 $500.00 scholraships to graduating Woodland Seniors.  To be eligible must have a 2.0 GPA, a graduating senior of Woodland, must enroll in college, university or vocational school after graduation.  You may pick up an application in Mrs. Lee's Office Deadline: April 1, 2025

Beckie Chismarick Memorial Community Service Award: $500.00 award to a Woodland female who displays leadership potential and a dedication toward community service.  Applications can be picked up in Mrs. Lee's office  Deadline: March 14, 2025

Lions of Illinoi 1-BK Scholarship: undergraduate scholarship for students entering or in the porcess of completing a degree which leads to working in the field of special education, including but not limited to education of childern with vision and/or hearing impairments.  Application can be picked up in Mrs. Lee's officer Deadline: April 1, 2025

Streator PEO Chapter CM Scholarship: $500.00  must be a female graduate of Woodland or Streator HS, will be enrolled in an accredited degree-granting institution in the fall, shall be in good academic standing, must display leadership potential and dedication towards community service, and must have 2 letters of recommendation.  See Mrs. Lee for application. Deadline: March 21, 2025

Streator Community Credit Union Scholarship: $600.00 scholarship for a graduating senior that will be attending college in the fall.  See Mrs. Lee for application. Deadline: April 15, 2025

Rock Scholarship: Must be pursuing a Bachelor's Degree at a 4 year college/university.  $5000 scholarship to a student  from Fieldcrest, Henry-Senachwine HS, Lowpoint-Washburn, Midland, Putnam Ct. or Woodland HS.  See Mrs. Lee for application. Deadline: April 18, 2025

DCFS Scholarship: To be eligible must ear a high school diploma or GED, meet the state criteria for HS graduation,  have a court ordered legal responsibility for the applicant or the applicant was formerly under the care of DCFS but has been adopted or placed in private guardianship.  Go to:https://apply.mykaleidoscope.com/scholarships/DCFS2024 for application  Deadline: March 31, 2025












The Illinois Manufacturers’ Association Scholarship:  (IMA), in partnership with Education Systems Center at NIU (EdSystems), is once again offering a scholarship to Illinois students who graduate high school having earned the CCPE in Manufacturing, Engineering, Technology, and Trades (METT) and are planning to continue their education or work in manufacturing, welding, or engineering. Initially designed to incentivize postsecondary enrollment, the scholarship can also now be awarded to students who have a local job offer from an Illinois manufacturing company and intend to pursue that opportunity. This $500 scholarship is direct to students and can be put towards tuition, fees, supplies, textbooks, room, board, job training equipment and uniforms, or other barrier reduction costs that arise. Scholarship application is now live through May 31, 2024. Children of Veteran's Tuition Waiver: he application for the 2024-2025 Children of Veterans Tuition Waiver is now available online. Please refer to our website, osfa.illinois.edu.  The applicant will need to print out the application and mail it to our office with the required documents.  A copy of the application is also attached to this e-mail.
The Children of Veterans Tuition Waiver is a four-year in-state tuition waiver at the University of Illinois. The recipient may use his/her Children of Veterans Tuition Waiver at any of the University of Illinois campuses (Urbana-Champaign, Chicago, Health Sciences Center, or Springfield). 

One award is available per conflict in each county, but the maximum number of awards per county is three. The following are eligible conflicts for this award: World War II, the Korean Conflict, the Vietnam Conflict, the Siege of Beirut, the Grenada Conflict, the Southwest Asia Conflict, Operation Enduring Freedom, and Operation Iraqi Freedom. Specific information regarding the required service dates and medal eligibility is provided on the application itself. The application also outlines the selection criteria that will be used to determine award winners.
The priority deadline is January 5, 2024. Candidates must submit the completed application with photocopies of both the veteran parent’s service papers (DD Form 214) and the student’s ACT or SAT scores to our office.
All candidates will be notified by mail on or around March 15, 2024 whether they have been selected to receive the Children of Veterans Tuition Waiver. We appreciate your continued assistance in providing applications and information about the Children of Veterans Tuition Waiver to students.

Illinois Pork Producers Scholarship: The Illinois Pork Producers Association proudly awards nine students with a scholarship each school year. Three Levels are awarded: (3) Gold Scholarships at $2,000 each; (3) Silver Scholarships at $1,500 each; (3) Bronze Scholarships at $1,000 each. Applicants must be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or be enrolling to begin in the Fall of 2024 to be eligible. IPPA Scholarships are open to students pursuing any undergraduate degree at any two-year or four-year college.

Adam Fesser Scholarship

IPPA hosts the Adam Fesser scholarship each year, which is sponsored by the Mid-Illinois Pork Producers Association. One award of $1,000 will be given. Applicants must be an undergraduate at a university/college or community college for the fall semester 2024. Applicants must also have been a 4-H or FFA member and an Illinois resident. Students applying for the Adam Fesser Scholarship must complete an application form and a typed essay identifying the reason they want to pursue a career in agriculture, as well as provide transcripts, list of achievements & activities, and statement of financial need. Applications will be reviewed by the Adam Fesser Scholarship Committee to determine the winner.

If you have previously won this scholarship you are not eligible to apply again.

Hank O Payne Scholarship: Trade school scholarship awarded to Mclean, Woodford, Logan, and Livingston Ct. award to be used toward a vocational school.  See Mrs. Lee for application.  Deadline: July 30, 2023

IFBWC Educational Foundation Scholarship: The BPW Illinois Educational Foundation (BPWI-EF), with funding from the Illinois Federation of Business Women’s Clubs, Inc., (IFBWC), is committed to providing financial assistance to females in the state of Illinois to further education beyond high school. Both organizations view a lack of education as the primary barrier to self-sufficiency and improved quality of life. 

Established in 2018, this scholarship program proudly offers financial assistance for students entering or returning to higher education for the 2023-2024 school year. Applications must be received electronically in PDF format to applications@bpwi-ef.org by March 25, 2023, to be considered.

Winners should be notified by April 20, 2023.

Greater Livingston Ct. Arts Council Scholarship:  $500Awarded to one senior who lives in or attends school located in Livingston Ct. who has excelled in the visual arts while in high school.  See Mrs. Lee for application. Deadline: April 18, 2023
