SEND stands for Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. Different needs can affect children differently and their ability to learn.
In line with the Ethos at Woodhouse, our whole staff team work together to ensure children with SEND are able to access as much of the curriculum as possible and are given the same opportunities as all other children. We have many specialist staff in school who facilitate differing provisions to meet the children's needs. Sometimes this can be a more watchful eye in mainstream classrooms and sometimes it can be a completely adapted provision. Either way, adjustments are tailor made to the children's needs to ensure they have the opportunity to be the best they can be.
If you have any questions about SEND, speak with our SENDCo Miss Mason or email us on sensupport@whp.greenheartlearning.org
We do whatever it takes to help change the future of disabled and autistic children by providing diagnosis, equipment, services and support to help them lead a full and active life.
A charity providing services to support children and families with additional needs. Including:
Family Workshops - Caudwell Children deliver a range of practical and accessible workshops. These workshops focus on some of the key difficulties families may experience when raising a child with a disability and / or is autistic.
Autism Sensory Pack - Our Occupational Therapy and Support Team have selected crucial sensory items that aid autistic children with hearing, vision and touch. The pack also contains items that support children’s cognitive skills and learning such as colour and shape.
Get Sensory Pack - We also have a smaller pack of sensory toys which, depending on the needs of your child, they may find beneficial.
