It is an exciting time at Ifield Football Club. A club that was formed in 1948 will now have a full youth setup starting at under 9s right up to adults teams, beginning in the 23/24 season. We play in a range of leagues, including the Mid Sussex League, Sussex Sunday League, and even the JPL.
Currently, we have over 250 members ranging from 8 years to 60 years old. Our club consists of 15 teams, including 2 PAN (Disability) teams. Setting up and planning for this expansion has taken nearly a year. We are grateful to our committee of 12 individuals who have worked tirelessly to ensure the success of the club.
We are proud to announce that we have secured lots of money in sponsorship and received grants from the Football Foundation. This support has been crucial in establishing our youth setup.
Ifield has a rich history in the Sussex FA, and several committee members have been involved with the club for over 50 years. Additionally, other committee members have experience in running successful clubs such as Galaxy, Alfold, and Crawley Rangers.
All our coaches are FA qualified, ranging from Level 1 to UEFA B Licensed coaches. We prioritize the development and professionalism of our coaching staff to provide the best possible experience for our players.
Ifield Green Playing Fields is a beautiful and historic part of Crawley, and it is a shame that there has been no youth football being run from there since Ifield Galaxy. We are hopeful that our new youth setup will bring life back to this venue.
We have established strong links and support with the main Ifield Sports Social Club and Ifield Cricket Club. These partnerships are vital in creating a cohesive community sporting environment.
In our inaugural season with the new youth setup, we have limited the number of teams to 15. However, we have plans to expand the number of teams over the next few years to include every age group, as well as PAN, girls, and ladies teams.
