International afternoon was an amazing success due to the amazing generosity of our wonderful families and staff. Children and parents gathered in our new studio hall and shared tasty dishes from all over the world. Thank you to you all.
As energy costs rise and the colder months set in, it’s reassuring to know there are local places where families can stay warm, connect with others, and feel supported — all free of charge. The Warm Welcome Campaign has established a network of more than 5,300 Warm Welcome Spaces across the UK, offering safe, friendly environments for people of all ages.
To find a warm space near you, simply visit the campaign’s interactive map and enter your postcode:

These community spaces provide warmth, company, and often activities for children and families. If this could be helpful for you, please do take a look — they are open to everyone without judgement or referral.
At Wood End, we also want every family to know that you are never alone if you are experiencing difficulties. Our staff are always on hand to listen, and we encourage you to reach out if you are facing challenges you would like to discuss. You can contact our school office at any time to arrange a confidential meeting with Mr Best, our Safeguarding and Pastoral Lead.
Please feel free to share this information with anyone who may benefit.
Cyberbullying can happen through messages, posts, or exclusion from group chats. Look for changes in mood, sleep, or reluctance to use devices.
Reassure your child that bullying is never their fault and encourage them to screenshot and block abusive messages rather than respond. School staff will always listen and take action.
