Weekly Reading Time – You're Invited!
We warmly invite parents and carers to join us in your child's classroom every Tuesday morning between 8:45 and 9:55 AM to read with your child. Sharing a book together not only supports your child’s literacy development but also helps foster a lifelong love of reading. We look forward to seeing on tuesdays. Reception and Nursery reading sessions will start later on in the year.
Elms Sports in Schools, run our poplar Football, Dodgeball and Tennis after school from 3.30 to 4.30pm. To book a place contact Elms direct on 0208954 8787 or email: info@theemlms.co.uk
Children have settled in well, they are learning and trying lots of new skills and enjoying lunch in school with their new friends.
AT WOOD END PRIMARY SCHOOL Helen Thorp is the Therapeutic Lead for the Counselling service (SCP) here at Wood End
Primary school. Helen has experience working as a Therapist in Primary and Secondary schools. Her passion is promoting the emotional wellbeing of children and young people, their families and school staff and SCP offer a wraparound service to meet these needs. You will find Helen at Wood End on Wednesdays
WHAT DO SCP OFFER AS A SERVICE?
Supporting Parents – There are times when we could all do with someone to talk to, parents included. If you would like to meet with Helen for a safe and confidential chat about you, your child or any concerns you might have. Helen is available to meet with you on Wednesdays.

Supporting Children – Helen offers a lunchtime drop-in for children who want to talk about any feelings or worries they may have: your child knows this as ‘The Space’.
The Space- A safe, confidential space where children can feel listened to in order to feel better or to better understand their emotions.

All children should come to school dressed in their correct P. E. uniform:
Year 1 - Cedar class (Monday and Wednesday) - Hazel class (Tuesday and Wednesday)
Year 2 - Cherry class ( Wednesday and Thursday) - Elm class (Thursday and Friday)
Year 3 - Maple class (Monday and Tuesday) - Chestnut class (Tuesday and Friday)
Year 4 - Poplar class (Tuesday and Wednesday) - Sycamore class (Tuesday and Wednesday)
Year 5 - Birch class (Thursday and Friday) - Ash (Thursday and Friday)

Arbor Communications – Parent Portal and App
Wood End Primary School is now using the Arbor Parent Portal and Parent App, and an account has been set up for you.

To get started, click “First time logging in?” to set up your account.
When prompted to enter your email address, please use the email you have previously provided to the school. If you use a different email address, you may receive an error message.
What can you do on the Arbor App?
You will need the app for:
Booking Breakfast Club, Afterschool Club, booking and paying for school trips, clubs, or discos.
To ensure you're using the correct app, look for the Wood End logo at the top of the screen.
To book Breakfast or Afterschool Club, go to the Activities section, where you'll find the list of clubs for you to select. Please ensure you top up your account before making any bookings or payments.Need Help?
