Your weekly round up of events and what's coming up!
We’re excited to let you know that our Summer Fair is just around the corner, and we’re starting to prepare for a fun-filled day for our school community.
To help make the event a success, we are looking for parent volunteers who can assist with running stalls on the day. If you’re available to help between 2:00pm and 4:00pm, please get in touch by emailing the school office at:
📧 admin@woodendprimaryschool.com. We’re also putting a special call-out to our creative parents – if you have skills in face painting or henna, we’d love to have you involved!
Your support makes a huge difference, and we really appreciate your time and help. Thank you!
Non-Uniform Day – Friday 13th June
Children are invited to wear their own clothes to school on Friday 13th June in exchange for a donation of either £1 or a packet of sweets for the Sweet Tombola at the Summer Fair.
We are also planning to run a cake stall at the fair. If you would like to bake some fairy cakes for us to sell, please let the school office know.
Thank you for your support!
The children had an amazing time at the Ace Adventures trip in Phasel Woods this year. Below is a selection of pictures of just some of the activities children enjoyed.
Year 6 children 6 in school last week also enjoyed a selection of activities like cooking, gardening, sewing and art with Ms Rushiti.

Parents are warmly invited to read with their child every Tuesday morning from 8:45 to 8:55am. (For Nursery PM, the session runs from 12:45 to 12:55pm.)
Sharing a book with an adult is one of the most powerful ways to support a child’s early development. It encourages bonding, builds language skills, and helps children understand stories, ideas, and emotions. Even a few minutes of one-to-one reading can make a big difference – and children love the special attention.
Please bring a bag to collect Felix food on a friday morning (8.45am-9am). Food is distributed from the DT room before the start of the school day. Please come along!
If you have any spare carrier bags, please drop them off at the office.
