We are proud to be able to offer the International Baccalaureate program to the students of Woodburn High School as it fits so well with our own mission. The IB program allows students of Woodburn, Oregon to be educated in the same way, with the same expectations as students from all parts of the globe. It also fits perfectly with our goal of graduating multilingual students through our language immersion programs in our district. It enables us to unite people from varied cultures and backgrounds and exemplifies a “global” education for our students.
IB courses are normally taken during the Junior and Senior year of high school. Students can sign up for IB courses during their sophomore year, during schedule forecasting, which is usually in the spring. Any student may choose to take an IB course, as long as they meet the prerequisites for that course. Most IB courses are two years long, so don't wait until senior year to take advantage of this opportunity.
